Maple Bowl #2
Maple Bowl
11” diameter x 2 5/8” deep
This bowl is made from one solid piece of wood that is dried and hand turned on a lathe. This process takes time to complete with the drying between steps so the bowl doesn't split and will give you a bowl that will be passed on to future generations. This is a fairly shallow bowl making it perfect for salads, breads, or finger foods.
This beautiful bowl would make a wonderful heirloom quality gift for a wedding or house warming. Useful for serving salads or displaying fruit in the dining room or kitchen or to catch keys and loose change in the front entry way.

SPALTED MAPLE WOOD: The wood acquires it's beautiful, intricate patterns of streaking and coloration via a natural process called spalting which is caused by the natural process of decay after the tree has died. The wood has been dried and stabilized to prevent further decay and to preserve the beautify coloration.
EASY CARE:
Please be mindful to avoid exposure of the wood to prolonged moisture, direct sunlight or excessive heat, which can cause problems.
Should your bowl need cleaning use a damp cloth with mild soap and water and then towel dry. Not recommended for use with the microwave, oven, freezer or dishwasher.
Will benefit from a light application of bees wax or natural oil from time-too-time to enhance the color and shine. When applying oil, be sure to wipe away any excess after about an hour. We recommend using mineral oil.
