10” Cherry Platter
This particular bowl had a bark inclusion in it. I cleaned out the loose particles and filled it with a silvery metallic resin. I then turned the bowl, sanded it to 800 grit and finished it with an all natural custom wax finish.
This bowl is made from one solid piece of wood that is dried and hand turned on a lathe. This process takes time to complete with the drying between steps so the bowl doesn't split and will give you a bowl that will be passed on to future generations.
EASY CARE:
Please be mindful to avoid exposure of the wood to prolonged moisture, direct sunlight or excessive heat, which can cause problems.
Should your bowl need cleaning use a damp cloth with mild soap and water and then towel dry. Not recommended for use with the microwave, oven, freezer or dishwasher.
Will benefit from a light application of bees wax or natural oil from time-too-time to enhance the color and shine. When applying oil, be sure to wipe away any excess after about an hour. We recommend using mineral oil.
